  1. Don’t waste your money. Easy to use, terrible quality. You have to be talking directly into the recorder and then playback on highest volume to barely hear anything. The playback is full of static and the quality terrible. Will not work in any classroom setting or anywhere else that I can see as the playback in not audible. Would not recommend to anyone.

  2. The mic is suck. You will need to buy another microphone to use this thing.

I’m using it for my college.

  3. Needed a recorder for night classes. I had no expectations and picked this one due to price:size of internal memory ratio and it records in mp3′s. Recorder comes with headphones. For me, never having used a recorder before, this recorder was easy to use and had decent battery life.

I sat in the front row of class, which depending on classroom configuration, was an easy 5′-25′ away from presentor. Please note, I have always sat in front of classrooms because I can pay much closer attention . I did not choose this position for the recorder. Some reviews complained about quality of recording due to position of the speaker. I feel, even if I sat further away, clarity and quality would not have been compromised. My brother also brought to my attention, this recorder has a condensor mic. It is not meant to record at a professional level.

Classes were 4 hrs long twice a week, so I used 8 hrs of recording time (on STLP speed) and about 1.5 hours of playback time on my rides to and from class. I think after 3 classes the batteries were dead. I also used the VOR feature to help with space. The light on the top blinks when this feature is in use. I got confused once and thought something was wrong.

Easy pnp features for using usb port to listen to at work on computer and to move off of device onto desktop. Playback from recorder and transfer to computer required no conversion of file format. I read on some reviews that other voice recorders recorded in .wma and needed conversion. I would look up company website because some of them do have a free converter. I didnt want to deal with conversion and this device made that easy.

  5. This is a great product, I’m not sure why shipping seems pretty slow compared with other products I have purchased from different venders. All in all very satisfied.
